hey Jeff, I'm preparing to run a one-shot of Dominoes in a couple of weeks, using Superpowers, Supervillains, and the Hurt Pool. I have a question about Back Issue #1, page 3, "With Great Power... There Comes Great Consequences."

It says:
"when using your power Power* Die, if a 1 is rolled on any of your dice, an extra die is added to the Doomsday Clock in addition to the usual result of your action:

Street Level: D4 Superheroic: D3 Godlike: D2"

* - assuming this was supposed to say "super Power"

I want to make sure I understand - a Superheroic "1" result = a 1d3 in the Doomsday Clock, meaning a die that only results in a 1, 2, or 3. And a Godlike "1" result = a 1d2 (like a coin flip) in the Doomsday Clock, meaning a die that only results in a 1 or 2.

Is that right?

You've got it exactly right!

I've given a quick look to these Back Issues and I have to say that they're very interesting and I'll try to use them the next time I'll play a game. However, I have two questions:

  • There will ever be a Back Issue dealing with the creation of settings, like cities and buildings, were to set games?
  • Can the rules of this game be used alongside those of Anyone Can Wear a Mask?

1. Ooh, y'know what, there will be NOW--a lot of the Back Issues stuff I have planned is just "whatever strikes me as a fun addition to the game," and that seems like a perfect thing to flesh out. (I also am working on an in-depth character creation system to bolt on, along the same lines.)

2. I have thought SO MUCH how to use these alongside one another, in a way that's more in-depth than "running both games in the same city" (which is also a perfect option). Something I'm thinking on a lot.

I'm happy to hear that. Also, I have another question: will the new character creation system allow you to make alien and monstrous characters? I'd like to run a Swamp Thing themed game but I don't know how to make the character work in Dominoes.
